27 Teachers and 14 Support Staff.

Staff vary across a wide age band – Beginning Teachers to Teachers with 30+ years experience.

The Staff are a dedicated Team committed to achieving excellence.

Lytton Street School also hosts several resource Teachers, serving the wider Feilding area. These include:

- Two RTLBs (Resource Teachers, Learning and Behaviour)

- RT.Lit (Resource Teacher, Literacy)

- 2 Supplementary Learning Support Teachers (SLST) (0.8 and 0.6),

GROUNDS AND BUILDINGS

1. The school administration area was remodelled in 2000.

2. All classrooms have been upgraded since 1995.

3. A major building programme in has provided a Communication Centre, a large upgraded Library/Information Centre, a Teacher Library, a Teachers’ Preparation Room and a Technology Centre.

4. A 7x11 metre storage shed has been built to house resources, using Lundia Mobile Shelving

5. A 7x11 metre storage shed has been built for the Property Manager’s equipment and furniture storage.

6. The School library is fully automated and has computers with C.D. Roms, factual and interactive fiction disks and computerised search facilities.

In addition to the classroom eMacs and iMacs, a set of iMacs has been added to the suite. The Communication Centre is staffed by an Information Communication Technology support teacher (part-time).

All teachers are provided with Laptops.

8. The School grounds have had some major landscaping with seats and raised flowerbeds. They are attractive and very well maintained. A major environment upgrade began in 2000.

9. There are concrete areas and sufficient playing fields for all children.

10. There is a large all-weather adventure playground for the junior school, an adventure playground completed in 1995 for the middle school, and a new 8-station fitness circuit / adventure playground added in 2003 for seniors. Since then, additional fitness stations have been added.

11. Swimming is taken at the Makino Aquatic Centre in Feilding. All children are bused there.

12. General comments:

· Feilding has very good schooling facilities for Primary, Intermediate and Secondary pupils.

· Housing ranges in price from $140,000 to top housing in the $500,000+ bracket. There are a number of life style blocks available near Feilding.

· Massey University & UCOL are 20 - 25 minutes drive away.

· There are many employment opportunities available in Palmerston North.
